Established in Dublin in 1932, Butlers Chocolates opened its first café on Wicklow Street in 1998. There are now 15 such cafés in Dublin, Cork and Galway, along with one in London and two franchises in New Zealand. In 2008, Butlers developed a new hot chocolate product that created new space for the brand in the retail environment and the hot beverages category. Through comprehensive product testing, the company developed hot chocolate cups which melt when stirred into hot milk. New packaging was designed to reflect Butlers brand cues in a new and different category. The product has achieved strong sales volumes and has gained listings with multiples and specialty outlets.

M&P Sales & Marketing is one of Ireland's longest established companies. Originally established in 1882 as a Match manufacturer, Maguire & Paterson, the firm today not only owns the Maguire & Paterson range of matches, but also manages a number of high profile agency brands across various categories including food, household and personal care. Tackling the market decline in the use of matches, the company developed the brand new Candle Match product and launched it in 2008, rolling out through all operating channels including multiples, convenience and cash & carry. In addition to achieving high sales volumes at an early stage, this initiative also grew usage throughout the range.
