Littlewoods Ireland

John Carey

Littlewoods Ireland has transformed itself from a paper-led catalogue retailer to a customer-led online retailer. The business has completely overhauled its strategy, platforms, processes, operations and expertise to remain relevant to customers and to meet their evolving expectations. In the last year, Littlewoods faced stiff competition with many high street competitors moving more of their business online, as well as an influx of new and nimble competitors to their market. Through an iterative and innovative ‘customer first’ online channel marketing, eCommerce and UX strategy, Littlewoods Ireland has step changed its journey and delivered exceptional results, far outpacing the market growth rates, and consolidating its position as Ireland’s largest and most successful online retailer.

SuperValu

Laura Curley

The SuperValu eShops platform coincided with the overall relaunch of the Real Rewards loyalty programme and helped transform it into Ireland’s first multi-partner programme. SuperValu eShops is an exciting customer friendly programme which hosts a virtual online shopping centre, allowing Real Rewards members to earn additional points with over 220 participating online brands. Through the eShops platform, customers can browse through their brands of choice and shop as normal on each individual website. Customers may grow their Real Reward points balance through their everyday online shopping, and this in turn will increase the value of their Money Back vouchers sent 3 times per year, ensuring customers remain highly engaged in the loyalty programme.

Three Ireland

Susie Benson

Three wished to overcome a backdrop of declining retail sales by placing an emphasis on growing online sales in a highly competitive environment. Using its in-house talent, a ‘digital first’ Black Friday Sale was created from inception to launch. This maximised lead generation and the performance of UX through the testing and the trialling of new technologies like Chatbot, focusing on simplicity and ‘making it count’ for customers. With large scale year on year increases in traffic from SEO, email and referred traffic from onsite advertising, this led to a massive year on year increase in online sales for this timeframe and drastically increased the online share of sales in the business, greatly exceeding expectations.
